Karen Bodner is a 1977 graduate from Emory University where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree.  Ms. Bodner received a Juris Doctor degree from Fordham University School of Law in 1980, where she won first place in the Wormser Moot Court Competition.

Ms. Bodner was admitted to the New York State Bar in June, 1981.  Ms. Bodner was an associate at Bower & Gardner from 1981 until she became partner at Bower & Gardner in 1989.  In 1994, Ms. Bodner became a founding member of Bower, Sanger &Futterman.  Ms. Bodner specialized in medical malpractice and pharmaceutical and chemical product liability actions at the trial and appellate levels.

Since 2005, Ms. Bodner has devoted her practice to matrimonial and family law.  She was an associate with Stanley Hirsch, P.C. until May of 2013, when she joined the firm of Gassman Baiamonte Gruner, P.C. as an associate.  Ms. Bodner has handled cases involving complex equitable distribution, child custody, parental alienation and support issues, and has appellate advocacy experience involving issues of parental alienation and the validity of religious marriages.
