Photo of Rosalia BaiamonteRosalia Baiamonte is a 1990 graduate of Brandeis University, cum laude, majoring in political science, with minors in Italian Literature and Art History. Ms. Baiamonte received the Waltham Group recognition award for outstanding service to the community of Waltham, Massachusetts, for founding an after-school tutoring program for under-privileged children. Ms. Baiamonte received her J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law, magna cum laude, in June, 1993, where she served on the Syracuse University Law Review as the Senior Notes and Comments Editor. During law school, Ms. Baiamonte received the Order of the Coif as well as the American Jurisprudence Award for academic excellence in appellate advocacy skills and practice. She served as a member of the Moot Court Board and was cited for academic excellence in Children and the Law. During her final year of law school, Ms. Baiamonte served as a legal research and writing instructor for first year law students.

Ms. Baiamonte was admitted to the New York State Bar in January, 1994. Since that time, Ms. Baiamonte has been engaged exclusively in the practice of matrimonial and family law, having been an associate with the firm of DaSilva & Keidel in Garden City, New York, from October, 1993, through February, 1996. Ms. Baiamonte became an associate of Stephen Gassman in March 1996. She became a member of the firm on August 1, 2007, and the firm was later renamed Gassman Baiamonte Betts, PC.

Ms. Baiamonte is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association. She is a member of the Matrimonial Law Committee of the Nassau County Bar Association, where she presently serves as Second Vice Chair; as well as a member of the Family Law Section, Executive Committee and CLE Committee of the New York State Bar Association. Additionally, she was an Associate Editor of the Domestic Relations Reporter, a legal publication by Matthew Bender & Co., from 1995 through 1996. Ms. Baiamonte has extensive appellate advocacy experience, having prosecuted and defended more than one dozen appeals involving matrimonial and family law issues, and has assisted in numerous trials and hearings involving complex equitable distribution issues and contested custody matters. Ms. Baiamonte served as an Arbitrator in the Early Neutral Evaluation Program in the Supreme Court of the State of New York, Nassau County. Ms. Baiamonte is a frequent lecturer on various matrimonial topics for the New York State and Nassau County Bar Associations and New York State Judicial Institute.

Ms. Baiamonte is fluent in Italian as a second language.
