Biography:

Joshua B. Gruner graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Delaware in 1997, where he was accepted into the school’s Honors Program and received an Advanced Honors Certificate upon graduation. While at the University of Delaware, he founded the school’s Pre-Law Society and was inducted into the Golden Key Honor Society, Pi Sigma Alpha and Mortar Board honor societies.
Mr. Gruner attended Hofstra Law School from 1997-2000 and was admitted to the New York State Bar in January of 2001. While at Hofstra, Mr. Gruner was named the Managing Editor of the Family and Conciliation Courts Review (now known as the Family Courts Review) and received the Distinguished Service to the School Award. He participated in the NITA Trial Advocacy Program, assisted in the creation of a Family Law Clinic and was an intern for Supreme Court Justice Gabriel Kohn.
Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Gruner worked in various areas of law, handling real estate, corporate litigation and all phases of matrimonial and family law. He joined the firm of Gassman and Keidel, P.C. (predecessor to Gassman Baiamonte Betts, PC) as an associate in 2005 and since that time has focused exclusively on matrimonial and family law.
He is on the advisory board of the PEACE Program of Nassau County, and is currently a member of the Jewish Lawyers Association. Mr. Gruner is also a member of the American Bar Association (Family Law Section) and the New York State Bar Association. He is an active member of the Nassau County Bar Association’s Matrimonial and Family Law Committee, and regularly contributes to its monthly update. Mr. Gruner has also assisted in teaching Hofstra Law School courses in the practical aspects of matrimonial and family law.
