Charlotte Betts is a 1990 graduate of St. John's University, Magna Cum Laude, where she received a received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Ms. Betts received a Juris Doctor degree from Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 1993, Magna Cum Laude and graduated in the top 5% of her class. During law school, Ms. Betts received the American Jurisprudence Award for academic excellence in Criminal Law, Commercial Transactions and Jurisprudence as well as the Touro College Academic Excellence Award for New York Practice.

Ms. Betts was admitted to the New York State Bar in February 1994. Since August 1993, Ms. Betts has been an associate of the firm's founding member, Stephen Gassman, and has been engaged exclusively in matrimonial and family law. Ms. Betts has extensive experience in the area of appellate advocacy and has assisted in numerous trials and hearings involving complex equitable distribution and contested custody matters. She became a member of the firm on August 1, 2007, at which time the firm became known as Gassman Baiamonte Betts, PC.

Ms. Betts is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. She is a member of the Family Law section of both the Nassau County Bar and New York State Bar and is a Barrister of the New York Family Law American Inns of Court Foundation.
